Work 1/2 day.
After work meet up with Joyly and some of the peeks from Sganime. No tix for Kungfu Hustle. Want to watch Meet the Fockers but Sagara and NY underage. Suggested to go karaoke. Went to Party World. Wah. Subsidise for them lor....bo bian I oldest and I suppose to get the tix for the movies actually.....Seiya and Tanaka Yuki not bad singers but SK shows alot of promise....He sounds like Gackt for Vanilla!!!!!Wow!!!I am impressed!!!!Sing Chun Zhen althought I am not suited for that song (but that's the onli song I can sing along with....)

Today spent time in Science Center for SCC's event.
Sucky?Yes. Bcos the lighting and sound is horrid.
The emcee is ok and the cosplayers are great but all spoilt by that.
I realised that maybe it is time to work harder to get a better camera.

Met Shuuichi (she looks Ravishing as Arwen --> Ah Wen ....not Ah Ven...) and Lenne (Lenne not Le Anne....really wondered where my mind is @) and Marchecox ( Hey!!!Isn't that a Joint by that name???) and of course the cool Man, Retsu. Man I tell you, he is Idol Hopeful next to me!!!We can make a stoner roadtrip movie together!!!
Also saw Orlha ( Who is that Hot CHICK!!!! LOL!!!! but really after she 'powered' down....she is Clark Kent!!!LOL!!!!!Now I know why Superman is never discovered!!!) and Lacus Clyne ( why is she always sitting down?)

Lenne did a good job....at least she never broke down and ran off stage (I will. Or I will changed to do Stand-up Comedy). The audience tried to back her up by being silent. I will quite moved by her courage so I ran down to tell her how I felt....but I just forgot what to say to her after I saw her.LOL!

Shuuichi's grp isn't that bad. At least their sketch is understandable. They won a Grp prize. Congrats!!!

After event then Hajime appears.

We then proceed to hang around the shopping complex.Eat dinner with SK, Hajime,Tu-di (Shuuichi's friend), Shuuichi, Tsukikage (Jack), Retsu and Eva (Steven)

Just rounds of talks and then Retsu and me went up for CS.

Going home, I took the North/South train back with Tu-di and the gals and Eva is left to go on the West/East line solo.

If I tell him the route I am taking, he might end up going back earlier. Yet again, I do not wish to be in awkward silence with someone I know. There's nothing wrong to say sorry or watever but guys shouldn't be mushy. And on top of that, now, although I want to apologise, I felt that there wasn't a need to. It's easy to say sorry but can you remember the consequences???I rather lose a friend-to-be now rather than let a mistake be repeated. It's a painful lesson to be learnt painfully. Besides, he might not even know what happened or forgotten about it.

And more often than not, my brothers are already back.It's either Yang on Winning Eleven or Leong on his homework, Pain Killer or Larry that looks like Jimmy Neutron.So all I did was either watch TV till one of them finish or I finish waiting and just go to sleep.

So I taking break on this Monday to recover some of the other backlog of my activities.Chances are since I am a limited company so a lot of things are either:

-Part of my reality.It happened but maybe it wasn't the way it was.

Gundam Seed Destiny is a continuation of Gundam Seed as per Zeta is to the Original Kidou Senshi Gundam.

Since it's a sequel series,the begining sequence is a flashback sequence to C.E 71.It's about the New protagonist, Shin.One which his family were all killed when a stray beam hits them.It's not really obvious if it was from Kira's Freedom Gundam but to some sense Kira is suppose to be 'that one'.

Ignited OP sequence is a standard teaser material and actually made to resemble the Invoke OP used in Gundam Seed.

Then we fast forward to the present C.E. 74 , where Cagalli and Athrun paid a secret visit to Gilbert Durandal at L4 PLANT.Cagalli wanted Gilbert to stop recruiting ORB refugees for their War Efforts.Knowing that talking isn't going to turn her round, he led them to the hangar bays, where the most of talents from ORB are at.

Meanwhile, Shin got a handful of Stellar when he bumped into when she spin out of control when she was pretending to be Four from Zeta Gundam.It's odd and to some sense I thought Stellar was suppose to be the sane one when all her two other buddies had extremely weird fashion sense.A car picked Stellar and gang up and of course we know what is going to happen.EA wants to get even with ZAFT for what happened the last time.Unlike the last time round, EA outdone them, stealing 3 Gundams with just 5 people.

All hell break lose as the hijacked Gundam begin to attack the weapon storage facilities around.Most of the MS there are helpless as everyone was preparing for the ceremonial launch of Minerva.Gilbert ordered one of his man to led his guests to safety.That poor chap was unlucky so Cagalli and Athrun had to find their own way out.Pilot instinct out weights common sense some how and instead of going for safety,Athrun and Cagalli ends up in the latest Cannon Fodder unit called Zaku Warrior.Either Athrun thinks this had the cloaking device Nicole had for Blitz or he was just itching for a fight and so it didn't take them a second before Gaia spots the Zaku.This is the 1st episode afterall and whenever you had an ACE pilot in a Cannon Fodder, you get a striking tough bitch to handle.It wasn't long before someone realised that Stellar is having a tough time with that Zaku and it became a 2 v 1.Just as Athrun got cornered, Shin appeared with Impulse Core Splendor and gave Chao a warning shot.Impulse was merged and it's up to him to run the show now!

The Episode ends with a close up on Gilbert looking at Impulse Gundam on the monitor.

It's quite the usual content for a pilot episode of Gundam.Nothing new or striking, just out to start the ball rolling.

The OP/ED is more controvesial as there are 2 Lacus featured.

Some people said that it's just Lacus in 2 costumes.I see something else actually.

I read from somewhere that Lacus B is an imposter.Oh that's sounds good actually because there are Lacus crazed fans who threatened to stop watching Gundam Seed Destiny because she got more womanly curves in it.Haha.Crazy fans.

The Human Spirit

The mythological factor this time round in Blade is that there was a fight which the world chooses it's dominating species.No prize guessing who won.

It's strange when most of the Undead in the show are clad in Big Leather/Latex that had a very strong Biker/S&M feel to it.All Human Undead had is a pair of Jeans and Slippers.I wonder what really took place.I think Spirit cheated all the Undeads, double cross them that's why the other Undeads were damn pissed and attacked humans.I wonder if it's the food that is making the show producers to come up with such ideas.

That's the type of I attitude I had for my blog.
Other then being feedback that my blog is hard to read(Thanks Candyrose!) there are generally no complaints.So I changed the colour scheme a little.Since the old pic didn't fit in, I changed it to the SIC Kuuga pic I make for Retsu since it wasn't his Rider and as Maxblue no longers uses the skin I created for him.

Kamen Rider Blade the Movie: Missing Ace

Missing Ace........

On a stormy night,some undisclosed location in th world,Tachibana found an mysterious ancient stone slab in a cave.

At the same time in Japan,Kenzaki fought Hajime and eventually sealed Joker.Putting the fight to perhaps an eventual fullstop.

4 years had past since then.

Once again the Undeads runs free and terrorised the innocent.A new generation of Riders appears,protecting Mankind from the Undeads.

What happened?Where's Kenzaki and Mutsuki?Was that really Kenzaki we saw on the last Next Rider preview in Blade TV???

Koutaro finally wrote the book about the Kamen Riders.It became a bestseller and Koutaro is having a good time in a Night Club right now.His sister called him it's going to be Amane's birthday soon and wanted to hold a birthday party.Thus his quest begins in finding his old friends.His first stop?Kenzaki.

Kenzaki saved the world alright but fast forward 4 years, he is dumping trash,for a garbage disposal company.Tough work but he seems to enjoy it.Richie Boy Koutaro drove in style to greet his old friend.Life suck after all even in the Tokusetsu world.

Anyway the scene moves on to Mutsuki.Looks like he isn't doing well either.A jobhunter that didn't got himself a job.Life really sucks in the Tokusetsu World.

Kenzaki re-united with another old Friend (or many old Friends) when the Undeads hits the streets.He nearly becoming beetle feed for Change Beetle had it not for the New Riders.Looks like they are really as friendly as they looks.They snobs Kenzaki and sneer at him later on at the cafe to get back the sealed Beat Lion which Kenzaki picked up.The boss of the New Riders requested them to bring Kenzaki and Koutaro back.He turned out to be Tachibana (Surprise!As if.).

A reunion of somekind with Tachibana is interrupted as Amane created a scene in a departmental store and get arrested.The absense of her beloved Hajime-san had made Amane an angry and pissed Teen.(Wow.Isn't that original)

Undead soon gather around Amane so as to capture her.Why is it so?Will she ever sees Hajime again?Will Kenzaki regain his status as Kamen Rider Blade?Will koutaro drink milk again?

Thoughts on Missing Ace.

Every movie had a formulae.

Missing Ace is no better.So they are just offering exactly a repackage deal from last year's movie with this year's Heroes.

New Designs or Yet to be Seen Designs.
Like the previous efforts, one of Missing Ace's Trump Card is New Designs.This year's offering is on par with last year's with 3 New riders,1 canon fodder monster design similar to Paradise Lost's 2 Rider + Canoon Fodder Rider design.Paradise Lost have the New Wolf Orphenoch Design and 555 Blaster mode.Missing Ace have Blade King Form and Joker Undead Form.(The other White Joker could be a movie exclusive.).Also included in Missing Ace are yet to seem Undead (Evolution Stag) or Movie Exclusives (Slash Lizard,Change Beetle and Smog Squid in which I applauded on Toei for skipping him in the TV and used him for the movie instead).

Intense Action
The action in the movie is more intense in the movie as the fighting the TV series is too slow.Movie didn't opt to make the Fight scenes overly exaggerated with Matrix style Fighting Style which Hollywood over used and I like it that way.However in order to stay on pace,Movie skipped on the logic of the Rouse Cards,so many of the Finishers are short cut to give maximum impact.TV series also didn't had much of a mass melee scene but the Movie having 'More to War' checklisted,we got many more costumed people fighting and chasing each other.

CGI/CGI eternities.
Last year's Paradise Lost goes big on CGI and the Movie was pretty much brought down by perhaps some I personally find, useless CGI scenes.This year's CGI scenes look more natural and more to the movie's pace.Thumbs Up.

Cameo
Tradition is to have actors from previous series to appear.This time round we got the Snake,Horse,Rose orphenoch.Riderchips, the people behind the Theme,appears for a moment.

OVERALL
Overall I find that Missing Ace to be the most complete movie for the Rider Series.It may not be the most Original or the most Entertaining but I can see Toei is getting it closer for the Perfect Movie Formulae.The movie also didn't try to reveal it's Trump Card for the series,the new forms for the rest of the other Riders save Blade.They intergrate it into the plot of the movie cleverly so making us wondering if we should to continue watching the TV series.I rate it 8/10 for being slipshod on some minor details but I like it better than Paradise Lost which is actually most of the fanboy's favourite.

One of my favourite sequence in Blade: Missing Ace

It happens after freshly unsealed Hajime(Joker/Chalice) rescued his favourite human being Amane (You friggin Undead paedo!!!!).For some odd reason, Hajime brought Amane to some lakeside/riverside area and lay her on the ground.Just before we can catch the blantant paedo red handed, White Joker appears.

As usual in every story when a person ruin your mode for romance or perhaps your own guilty pleasure, you tend to want to kick his can.Hajime did.Boy did he get his can kicked...

White Joker didn't took it too nicely.Strangely this scenario is kind of like what happened in last year's Kamen Rider 555 the Movie : Paradise Lost, in which Mari and Takumi are seperated in a fight which Takumi (555/Faiz) had to fight 100 shock troopers.

Hajime was helpless.White Joker Pwnz him like he was a complete N00b.He looks on as White Joker claim his prize.

The secret to 4 King Cards is that it will become a Seal Card.That Bastard is gonna seal Amane!!! (Hostages,Victims!!!!Don't write a Kamen Rider Movie without it!!!It's on the checklist for every Kamen Rider since Agito!!!)

"Haha!!!The World is MIne NOW!!!!!" (As if.We all know that all we need is the Hero to power up to that new action figure design to save this World.)

Kamen Rider Blade the movie Missing Ace :Big Friggin Ugly

Missing Ace incoporated many elements present in last year's Faiz: Lost Paradise.One unique feature between them is the CGI Big Friggin Ugly in the finale.

This time round because of the mythical background in Blade, BFU is given a nicer touch meaning better rendered and used in a way that the BFU is looks more realistic than just CGI-ed.

This time round BFU is consider a 'ja-shin' or an Evil God.Hence a grandeur look.If Blade is consider a deck of cards then BFU should be the card holder.Reminds me of the boss to fight in FF series.

The 'White Joker' (I dunno how to call him...I forgot the proper terms to him) is the one who awakened the Ja-shin hence he controls that BFU.

A way to refrain from look clumsily CGI-ed monsters from becoming to expensive and less life-like is to have less interaction with actual actors.Hence this BFU is given the ability to toast Garren and Leangle's ass. (Yes he did attempt swipe them with his sword on hands but he was so big!!!!The two riders just need to run!!)

Fireballs are scary but over usage can be boring.Let's give him lightning and livid things up.

When the sun comes in,BFU,you know,you had to stand still.....

and let Blade finish you with a Royal Flush Attack in King Style!!!

I haven't been really trying hard at friendsters so I am on blitz to perhaps fill up my account while helping the 'princesses' to fill up and move on to their 5th or nth accounts.

I believe it's hard for a guy to hit a 100 especially with my photograph but what the heck I am always the midway n00b in anything.Either I am the standard mark of the Average,or the cross section between n00b and skilled.

Sidetrack:
I removed Doom III off my PC.It was great but neglected.I don't feel like playing games anymore.Ah.The wonders of having Free Time.No matter what you do, you never felt you got enough free time.

Andy's Wedding

Yesterday was my friend, Andy Chua's wedding.Being doing for 2nd time of the year,I roughly get the idea of going about it.This time is slightly different since I managed to hitch a ride from Tommy.

Yes Tommy.The Last Man.Reknown for superstar arrival time,he is late.This time round his line is : My watch slower.Yes I buy your story Tommy.Yes it's 0605 on your clock.Shouldn't I meet you at 0605????Haha.He is late no matter what.

And off we go.Andy was lucky.Due to our tardiness,the girls didn't to play around as

2)They too soft-hearted. (Secondary School Friends almost of all of them....wow that's awfully long.I heard he woo her since '95.WoW.)
3)They scare neighbour complain?
4)We are civilised people!

Everything was going so smooth sailing unlike the other one.I think that's the difference between a carefully thought planning and one that got screwed bcos they panic?

Anyway we get away easy because of the tight schedule and somehow because we cannot click with the gals????

Wedding dinner, we had vegetarian.Vegetarian is good but bad when you had to eat a table of 10 when you got only 7.Thank god for the kid.Boys that are hyperactive and growing up always had good appetite.Anyway it's a nice dinner.Too bad my red packet is too small.I hope Andy don't mind.Well I guess I had to make up for it for the House Warming (if I got sufficient funds that is at that time).

Anyway eternal bliss to Mr. Andy Chua Tze Peng and his beloved wife, Miss Tay Li Theng.Hopefully Mr. Chua can fully utilised the government incentives and add more People to the population of Singapore in near future, haha.

Yumiko was being nice, asked me to help with another blog (I can't help her!!!I make blogskin but I know none of those fanciful stuffs!!!!!And she keep asking me to modify works that I cannot comprehend.Yes I am very dense when it comes to CSS.)

Anyway I create an original one for Max-Blue.Ironically I was flipping through my library of tokusetsu (he is a fan but a Power Ranger fan) scans when I saw this nifty shot of Kuuga from the SIC book.I took the liberty of PSing the image (who would want to just put a scan and that's it?)

.....and so it's a RED themed blog skin for MAX BLUE (hahaha).

I tried to use all the secondary colors of Kuuga (Green,Blue and Purple) for the fonts and all that.
Of course no one can see that bcos it's just a standard blog layout that doesn't impress.

J-drama Review

Coincidentally I watched finished 2 J-drama with Fujiki Naohito in it.

One was Oni no sumika or Don't be a Cry Baby.
It's a tailored for Kyoko Fukada Cinderella drama so how it will be a like is actually very easy to figure out what it will be like. The story starts with Ayumi (Kyoko Fukada) having to deal with separation with her younger brother after their parents perished in an accident. Ayumi is the standard drama high school girl from the city, used to be pampered by her parents and willful in nature. Alas Ayumi had to face hardship as she was adopted by her aunt's family and forced to work in the Water Inn run by their family. The fun fact about Fukada's shows are that she often the Strong-willed girl with a sense for justice. Yet no matter what she did, somehow happiness tend to slip out of her hand just minutes before the show ended/started. This is that ONE show I believed that started it all. In fact the character she played here is very similar in thinking to Fighting Gal however she was more abused than abusive here). So what's the catch about this show? Dramatic twist. Every episode Ayumi had to face a new problem/demon as she continues to struggle for a decent acceptance in the Water Inn or rather in the 'House of Devil' (The other Title it is commonly known to be). Ghosts of the Water Inn's past binds Ayumi to a descending fate. Will she escape from her impending doom?

Major support comes in form of the Devils....mainly from her adopted family,the Kurokawas....Mr kurokawa,owner of Aomori, husband of Ayumi's Aunt,Shoko. He is often verbally abusive to Ayumi and seemingly in rage every time he saw Ayumi. He slaps his wife, yell at her and threw Ayumi's brother out into the cold. Simply the typical Big Man of the Family. One reason why I continued watching after the 1st episode. Next in turn is Yuriko, the daughter. Typical villain girl who comes in between Ayumi and Yuzuru (played by Naohito) the son of a politician. Then there's a pervert of a son who wanted to get down and dirty with Ayumi or was it just perverted expression of love? The staffs of inn are no kinder to her except for Lee (played by HK idol Kelly Chen Huiling), an illegal worker from China. Yuzuru's father, a lecherous and twisted politician make up part of her misery too.

Wonderful soap but not really engaging. Most people would have given up at episode 6 or 7.Acting wasn't really fantastic althought the older folks managed to carry their role out quite well. Yuzuru is the worse character scripted, there for the sake of having a token 'Prince' character.

Fast forward to 2003,looking not really the same from Oni no sumika which was made in 1999, Fujiki Naohito, more haggard and weathered and seasoned here, plays a teacher in Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003.Considered more of a spin-off than a sequel, this is still about illicit love between teacher and student. Technically it is not, as Kuga (Fujiki Naohito) met Hina (Aya Ueto) even before he became a teacher and even slept with her (as in sleeping together). Hina is the average girl at the background (or so she proclaims) and she hang out with one of the 'Bad Hats' of the school, Beniko, a girl isolated by the rest simply because of her eccentric behaviour. Kuga however was prominent in the school, a young man with good looks in a female high school. However deep down, Kuga was a lonely figure that was driven to suffer by a tumor that was on his head. An unintentional misunderstanding by Hina gave Kuga an opportunity to exploit Hina as his mirror. A mirror which he sees to lessen his pain.It sounds all so perverted but some how once you watched it, it's more of a beautiful, tragic love story.

The drama is divided into two intertwined plots. One about Kuga and Hina. The other is about Fujimura (Kyomoto Masaki) and Beniko. Fujimura's story seems to be a continuation from the Kou Kou Kyoushi, he was a twisted teacher that raped his students before.Guilt caught up on him and he saw a chance to redeem himself when Beniko is caught up in a game which Yuji, a male host, is forcing young girls to voluntarily selling their body out of 'LOVE'.

It's a nice show and even when the nice soundtrack which was used in the original Kou Kou Kyoushi , is used in the updated version, it's still hauntingly engaging even when you know what will happen in the END. However there's a Special for '2003 and maybe I had not seen it all yet. Some of the ideas could be a bit sick but over the presentation itself was good.

I give 2 out 5 stars for Oni no sumika and 3.5 stars for Kou Kou Kyoushi 2003.

*I first heard the song on Chungking Express.Tony Leung's police constable character was ditched by his Air stewardess girlfriend.Oddly the shock either took out his brains or he was forgetful by nature (Actually he was too absorbed over his break-up).An odd admirer/trespasser of Faye Wong's character,took his keys to his apartment.She swop his stuffs,change the decorations and clear the mess.California Dreaming was what he thought was his/his ex's favourite song that was left in the cd player by Faye Wong.I love this film.It's strange and nice at the same time.A comedy that doesn't really draw a barrel of laughs.

I felt sick.
Posting a thread selling away my manga (those new and what people may buy) is like selling my children.

Perhaps I am too used to be alone, that after reading too many magazines and books,
I actually left SY alone at Kino Orchard without telling her I am going off.Force of habit???Actually not.I felt I missed something before I left,turns out to her.I didn't realised it until she SMS me that she is going off.

Ah!I am actually on 1/2 way mark back home at that time!I think she will never go out with me* again!! (Actually I didn't read that SMS until someone called me.Which is after I am about to sleep....like 11pm?....rats.What a loathe I am.)
