You will notice I no longer goes by chrnological order...

That's because I woke up and it was either yesterday or the day after tomorrow.

Over the Hedge
I love animation. CGI and Furry Animals that talk might be common but I like anyway.

This time round it's Over the Hedge, another CGI Animal feature that is based on another children/book short story.

I guess having based on something written before sometime back makes a script looks tired and predictable (back then life was simpler, writers were the only not so simple folks around). However compare to something we all saw before (READ: THE WILD), Over the Hedge is very much an entertaining movie without all the "WTF?Isn't that from some movie???".

The irony of life is that when a younger person tells you that a particular scene originated from somewhere he/she seen before when the particular movie he/she saw was actually stealing from another you saw.

Spiderman : The Other

My most upmost Thank You to Miss Shuuichi who made the effort to allow me to take advantage of her kino Membership and get this compiled volume at a better price.

Ah. Spiderman. Classical Superhero had always matured to a point that if there's no progress, there is no sales. So this is another Marvel's way of rewarding customers. By starting to give a classic guy a makeover (didn't we had Ultimate Spiderman?).

I catch on on Spiderman for like since..I cannot remember anyway I still love the old Marvel. The new Marvel always gets to me as TRYING. Never AMAZE. The OTHERS is like a gimmick. Nothing important or big. Spiderman is going to get new powers and costume. This volume is about "How".

The good part about this, is that you don't really had to be a person who is following the story all the while to get to it. However, there is a general difference in the arts between the chapters. Rather than getting a harmonise story, difference artist were like competing with each other. Sure you get very good art for the money but generally the patchworking were kinda outlandish and confusing if you are a lover of consistancy (but if you read the X-overs at the X-men. Nothing really too hard to accept)

And Spiderman should be Red and Blue. It is always that way and shouldn't be tampered with.

Sandman.

Oh yes and thanks Miss Shuuichi again for the exploitation on the last 4 volumes.

I hardly can do a good job on writing a review on Sandman so I will leave people who wonder what it's all about to either buy it or borrow it. Whatever it is, just read it. It's one of the few good graphic novel that is not about Super beings in tights (but there are a glimpse of them.)
